Tunnel closed by crash
The Culfail Tunnel at Lewes has been closed this afternoon (Friday) due to an accident.
The crash, in the tunnel, was between a Mercedes and a Daewoo. Both vehicles were badly damaged.
The police implemented their contingency plan when there are problems in the tunnel.
The fire service and ambulance attended. It is not thought to be any serious injuries.
