THE A27 remains closed on the Chichester by-pass following an accident this afternoon (December 2).

A crash on the A27 closes the road in both directions

Two cars collided near to the Oving crossroads just before 2.15pm.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “A man travelling east in a Toyota collided with a Peugeot travelling in the opposite direction at around 2.15pm today.

“It is thought he may have suffered a medical episode just prior to the collision.

“Three people sustained slight injuries in the incident.

“The Kent, Surrey and Sussex air ambulance was called in as paramedics fought to stabilise the Toyota driver.

“Diversions have been set up while emergency services continue to work at the scene.”
