From this week, the Gazette is going back to its roots.

The prestigious broadsheet sees the return of former editor Gary Shipton to its helm. He edited the paper throughout the 1990s.

Mr Shipton, who is also Editor in Chief of a range of West Sussex newspapers - including the County Times and Mid Sussex Times - said the WSG would be re-introducing some of its most popular features from the past - as well as looking forward with a whole range of innovations.

This week's Gazette has special reports on plans for the South Downs National Park as well as the best selection of news from across the county.
