Woman diedafter stairs fall

Betty Roberts (90) who lived in Felpham, got up from her bed to go to the toilet but the light bulb in her room was not working.

After the fall she waited until 8am the next day to ring her neighbours.

She was taken to St Richard's Hospital, where she died shortly after she was admitted on October 1.

West Sussex Coroner Penelope Schofield concluded her verdict as an accidental death and the cause as Bronchial pneumonia, head injuries and a Haemorrhage.
