Woman dies in crash

Margaret Theobald, 61, was killed when her car left the road and plunged into a ditch, landing in woodland.

Her female passenger was airlifted to hospital by helicopter and is said to be in a serious condition.

It is believed the accident may have been caused by a tyre blow-out.

The crash occurred on the M4 in Oxfordshire.

Mrs Theobald, from London Road, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A crash investigation was underway this week.

Emergency services at the scene believed the Peugeot 306 car had suffered a puncture.
