Worthing society joins battle to save A and E

Worthing is facing the most improtant battle that the town has had to tackle, with the potential closure of some pr even all of the services at Worthing Hospital, says chasirman of the Worthing Society, David Sumner.

The society and its members are so concerned that he has sent a letter to Candy MNorris, chief executive of the Surrey and Sussex Strategic Health Authority.

He told her: " A town of this size needs and is fortunate to have, a hospital with comprehensive facilities and a vital Accident and Emergency Department. Closure of any of the services would be a disaster."
