Young man knocked out in street attack

A POLICE patrol car crew came across a group of youths attacking a 19-year-old man in Station Road, Bexhill, shortly before 11.30pm last Friday night, December 10.

The victim was on the ground, surrounded by his assailants, and appeared to be unconscious when police intervened.

Sergeant Sasha Coote, of Bexhill police, who is leading enquiries into the incident, said: “Officers who went to his aid think he was unconscious for about five minutes. He had suffered bruising and swelling to his face, and cuts to his mouth.”
