Bexhill hope to restage regatta

Bexhill Rowing Club's championship-winning vet 50+ crew

The event was due to have taken place in Bexhill on Sunday, but was cancelled due to rough sea conditions.

Bexhill Rowing Club has since sent an email to all the other CARA clubs offering to host the regatta on Sunday August 31 and it’s now a case of awaiting responses.

The club is currently top of the CARA league standings and targeting a 14th consecutive title, although Deal are close behind in second. Bexhill are also just behind leaders Shoreham in the grand aggregate (individual race wins).

The CARA Regatta was due to be the final event before the season-ending South Coast Championships in Swanage on September 13-14.
