NEW SERIES: Video - Behind The Sporting Scenes... at St Gerards Boxing Club

St Gerards Boxing Club in the heart of Chichester is the first stop in our tour of local sporting organisations who deserve 15 minutes (or thereabouts) of fame for the fine things they do in the community.

Sports editor Steve Bone will be visiting a range of sports clubs in the coming months to compile ‘Behind The Sporting Scenes’ video reports about their activities and the characters who make them tick.

You’ll be able to see the reports on this website – the first, on St Gerards, can be seen above.

We caught up with coaches and boxers at the club’s Swanfield Community Centre HQ as they gear up for their biggest night of the year – the black-tie dinner show to be staged by Rotarians at Chichester College to raise money for a variety of local groups on February 21.
