CHAMPION FLIES IN TO REGAIN TITLE

LEWIS Crathern from Worthing has won the Pro Men's British Kite Surfing Championships at the final round of the Grand Prix tour held at Hayling Island.

Lewis (22) has been kiting for four years, and retained his title after competing in all seven rounds of the BKSA Grand Prix Championships.awarded to all riders due to unsuitable conditions)

Lewis, who is sponsored by Slingshot Kites, Jimmy Lewis Boards, Relentless Energy, Dakine, XCel Wetsuits and Surface 2 Air, lives on the seafront in Worthing and became interested in kite surfing after seeing the kites flying on the beach.

He has been fortunate enough to kite in many countries including Italy, Austria, France, Venezuela, Spain, Greece, and his favourites, Egypt and South Africa, although he still maintains that he has the most fun kite surfing at home in Worthing. He said: "Your local beach is always the best."

As for long term plans, Lewis said: "Next year I will be winter training in Cape Town South Africa.
