Identilam Colts cricket round-up: Horsham win comfortably but Southwater suffer late on

Week seven of the Identilam U14 Indoor Cricket League saw Horsham bowl tight throughout against Lingfield as Tom Haines (0-15), Zac Cissotti (1-11) and James Whitehouse (0-8) all applied the pressure.

Tom Haines and Zac Cissotti then dominated with the bat both retiring to hand Horsham a comfortable victory.

In the night’s other match Southwater lost to Horley, who took the honours with four balls to spare. Harry Close and Oli McCrea made a good start for Southwater with the bat, allowing Will Bond and Harnoop Kalsi to benefit in the middle order, but a good final over from Jordan Robins, who grabbed three wickets, restricted Southwater to exactly 100.

With the ball Harry Child’s second over was miserly, creating pressure for Matt Vardy to grab two quick wickets, and the game favoured Southwater until Jordan Robins’ 46
not out handed Horley victory.

West Chiltington were also awarded a win with Ardingly conceding.

In week ten of the Under-12 league Lingfield were beaten by both Three Bridges and Capel, who then met up for the final game which went the way of Three Bridges.
