Priory’s title challenge looks over

HASTINGS Priory’s hopes of retaining the Sussex Cricket Premier League are all but over after they contested a draw away to Chichester Priory Park.

While Hastings were being held, Horsham and Preston Nomads both won to increase their advantage at the top of the table going into the final two weekends of the season. Nomads also have still to play their game in hand against the Sussex Development XI.

Put into bat at Priory Park, Hastings were given a great start by Toby Finzel (65) and Adam Maharaj-Newman (66) who shared an opening stand of 134.
