Eagles aim to tame the Bulldogs

The Eastbourne Eagles return to Arlington stadium tomorrow (7.30pm start) in the Elite League B match against Reading Bulldogs.

The Eagles are back to form having beaten Arena Essex 52-40 on Wednesday last week and then defeated Wolverhampton Wolves in the Knockout Cup.

Now it's the Bulldogs and it will be a tough test as they are currently vying with Peterborough and Belle Vue for the Elite League top spot.

Notable Bulldogs's absentees tomorrow will include Australian Travis McGowan, Dane Charlie Gjedde and Janusz Kolodziej. These three, along with the Eagles's Edward Kennett, will be competing in far-flung destinations hoping to further their causes in the 2007 Grand Prix qualifiers.

For the Eagles Lewis Bridger moves up the order again to don the No.2 position alongside David Norris while Jason Bunyan is expected to make his home debut in the No.7 berth.

Ipswich skipper Chris Louis, who is proficient around the Sussex circuit, deputises in place of Gjedde while former Eagle Oliver Allen (who recently top scored for the Coventry Bees at Arlington) comes in to take the place of McGowan. For Kolodziej, the visitors will utilise the rider replacement facility.
