Farrier boost for Blues

SIDLEY United captain Wayne Farrier is on the road to recovery after completing his first training session since being sidelined by injury four months ago.

The central defender has been missing due to a recurring knee injury since October.

Joint manager Peter Heritage said: "He came through a tough training session on Tuesday and although he s still not 100 per cent fit it s great news for Wayne and everyone at the club.

"It s the first step for him and when he gets through another couple of sessions we ll think about getting him back in the side."

Sidley are hoping the weather holds out for their Sussex County Division One matches at home to Pagham on Saturday (February 2) and Ringmer on February 5.
