FOOTBALL: Wick leave it late at Chichester

WICK struck twice in the last six minutes to progress in the Sussex RUR Cup with 2-1 win at Chichester on Tuesday evening.

Miles Scerri, with his first goal for the club, equalised Billy Huntley's 55th-minute penalty, following a Dave Sharman foul.

And then Phil Turner grabbed the winner with a minute of injury-time remaining, with an excellent individual goal.

Turner raced onto a through ball, held off one challenge, rounded Chichester's keeper and slotted home his second goal of the season.

Wick will now travel to Mile Oak in the second round.
