The popular boss, who took the club to the brink of promotion to the Isthmian premier division twice only to have seasons interrupted by Covid and lockdowns, replaces Paul Barnes, who was sacked nine days ago.

Agutter left Hastings in November 2021 and took up a coaching role with Football League outfit Stevenage and will be a popular appointment among the Pilot Field faithful.
