The crosstown rivals will meet in a Peter Bentley Challenge Cup first round tie at Little Common Recreation Ground on Saturday August 16.

Common will have already played one game by then as they open their Sussex County Football League Division Two campaign with a trip to newly-relegated Worthing United on August 9. Bexhill are fixtureless that day as they are the odd one out of the division’s 15 teams.

Westfield will host Wick & Barnham United on August 9 in a repeat of their opening fixture last season and they will be back at The Parish Field the following weekend against Rustington.

Common are away to Haywards Heath Town and Bexhill go to Mile Oak on Saturday August 23, while on the Bank Holiday Monday two days later, it’s Common versus Westfield and AFC Uckfield Town against Bexhill.

The only other fixture announced so far involving those three local clubs in Bexhill’s eagerly-anticipated FA Vase first round qualifying tie away to Glebe on Sunday September 7.
