The Commoners will host Langney Wanderers eager to halt a run of four successive Macron Store Southern Combination Football League Division One games without picking up a point or scoring a goal.

Common’s latest setback was a 4-0 loss away to third-placed Storrington on Saturday when they conceded three times during a particularly poor second half performance.

The Commoners lie eighth in the table and although they have games in hand on all of the teams above them, they will need to produce a much-improved finish to the campaign if they are to climb much higher.

Langney are two places and four points behind Common having played two fewer matches. They have failed to win any of their last nine league fixtures, but did pull off a good 3-1 victory away to Selsey in the league cup on Saturday.

Both clubs are embarking on a run of four games in the next nine days, a sequence which will end with the return fixture - to be played at Eastbourne United AFC - next Wednesday night.

Tonight’s clash was originally due to have been played way back in September and is finally set to go ahead after several postponements. Kick-off at Little Common Recreation Ground is 7.30pm.
