Conway magic helps Swans forget about derby defeats

Storrington put two narrow derby defeats last week behind them with a good 2-0 win over Seaford on Saturday.

Two goals inside ten second half minutes from Will Conway and Iain Jarvie were enough for a first win in five to the delight of Swans boss Nigel Dyer. He said: “Overall a good performance from us today, we never looked like losing this game. Another clean sheet and scoring a couple of goals to help relax the players after not scoring of late.

“We got the style of play better today of being hard to beat but still not stopping us from creating and scoring the chances, so I hope that this continues.”

Missing three players, it was a close first half and playing against a strong wind Swans had three good chances but Joe Warner, Liam Humphreys and the influential Conway were all thwarted by the Seaford keeper in a goalless first 45 minutes.

The Seaford stopper denied Humphreys twice more when found by midfielder Conway, who did finally break the deadlock with a beautiful strike into the top corner from 25 yards.

Eight minutes later the excellent Conway turned provider for Jarvie to make it 2-0, and a strong defensive display withstood a late Seaford rally.
