Free-scoring Golds bag five more goals
A brace from George Gaskin and goals from George Landais, Mitchell Hand and Michael Frangou saw Golds record their third win from four league games.
Golds have netted 21 goals in five games in all competitions this season but manager Mark Bennett still feels his side can improve.

“We looked good going forward but if you don’t work hard as a team, you do not get the reward.
“It’s a bitter sweet feeling because, at the start of the weekend, I wanted to get six points, which we did, but I was not happy with how we played.”
It was the visitors who started the better and went ahead inside two minutes when Gaskin slotted the ball home after he was played in by Landais.

However, Hand saw his penalty saved by the feet of James Shaw.
It was 2-0 on ten minutes, though, when Gaskin played Landais in and he made no mistake.
Hand then made up for his earlier penalty miss with a spectacular 25-yard free kick which fizzed into the bottom corner to increase his side’s lead.

Lancing pulled a goal back through Mike Williamson just before the interval.
Gaskin bagged his second of the game to make it 5-1 just four minutes into the second half when Josh Spinks’ misplaced back pass found him.
Lancers’ Marcus Robertshaw reduced the deficit for the hosts with 20 minutes to go but Golds recorded a comfortable win.
