Luckless Arundel sunk by Redhil

Arundel Football Club manager Brett Torode believes his side need luck to go their way after a 2-0 home defeat to Redhill on Tuesday.

Mullets were unlucky not to find the back of net in an evenly contested County League Division 1 game that could have gone either way and Torode felt his side deserved something from the match.

He said: “I thought we deserved something out of the game on our second half performance, we absolutely took the game to them.

“We were really unlucky hitting the woodwork twice but the ball isn’t running for us at the moment.

“We went to sleep and got caught out with a quick throw-in for their first goal. We were naïve and we’ve got to learn, really.”

Goals from Tyrone Pink and Lee Radford in the 37th and 90th minute respectively, sealed the points for Redhill.
