Predators are on the prowl for awards

Predators under-nines blue celebrated the end of their first year with the club at the annual presentation night.

Also present were the under-14 girls, managed by Mike Lauder, under-14 boys managed by club chairman Paul Harris, and the under-15.

The manager of the under-nines, Sue Ryder, thanked the club and volunteers for a brilliant night – and a brilliant first year.

“We have had such fun and have really enjoyed being part of a fantastic club,” she said.

There were 15 loyalty awards given to the under-nines plus eight major trophies.

These were: highest goalscorer, manager’s player and Midas special merit award – Patrick Dias; supporters’ player – Martina Hatt; players’ player – Billy Ryder; most improved player – Stanley Judd; most consistent player – Owen Head; sportsman of the year – Mason Rowntree.

Team sponsor John Acre of JAB Construction was praised for providing a new strip.

Predators have successfully gained Charter-standard Community Club status – the highest accolade the FA can award – and have a ten-year agreement with the University of Chichester for their new home ground in Bognor, The Predadome, where from September, 11-a-side matches will be played.

The club now offer opportunities from the under-sixes to men’s and ladies’ teams.
