Sickened Horsham boss to make changes

A furious Simon Colbran has made seven-day approaches for four new players after Saturday’s 4-1 defeat at Three Bridges left him feeling ‘sick’.

Colbran’s side were totally outclassed by a side cut adrift at the foot of the Ryman South table who celebrated a first three points in 16 games.

The latest chastising defeat means Horsham remain without a win in eight attempts this year and Colbran indicated that a number of his team had played their last game for the club.

He said: “It looked like men against boys out there. I’m not going to protect them anymore, I expect my players to show commitment, passion and do whatever it takes to win games of football and show they want to be at this football club.

“The performance made me feel sick and really upset me to be honest, the first half especially was an absolute embarrassment.

“I feel sorry for the chairman and all those who work so hard for no reward, and for the supporters who come and watch, their criticisms on the forum are totally justified at the moment.”

And on making changes he said: “I’ve put in seven-day approaches for four players who I know will run through brick walls for me. I’m hopeful of getting at least three of them so we’ll wait and see, I’m looking for people who want to play for this club and will give their all.

“Ever since I said I was happy with my squad they’ve become complacent, it was the worse thing I could have said looking back, but some players have had their chance.

“At the end of the day we deserve to be where we are but what we need now is players who actually want to do something about it.”
