United eye quartet of signings

The Hastings United manager has been busy since the end of last season trying to bolster a playing squad which only just avoided relegation last time out in the Premier Division of the Ryman League.

“I’ve shaken hands with four new additions but I haven’t got their signatures yet,” he said. “I expect people I shake hands with to adhere to it but you never know.”

Two or three players from last season are expected to leave The Pilot Field but Hopkinson went on: “Most of the squad are keen to stay.”
