The U’s continue to occupy the final Ryman Football League Division One South play-off spot of fifth and have a three-point cushion over their pursuers with three games remaining.

Assistant manager Ben White said: “It’s in our hands. We’ve definitely got to look to get maximum points from our two home games.”

United will host 18th-placed Whitstable Town today (Saturday) and second-bottom Crawley Down Gatwick next weekend, either side of a trip to champions Peacehaven & Telscombe on Easter Monday.

Charlie Bachellier broke his hand in Tuesday night’s defeat at Folkestone Invicta, but Tim Olorunda returned from injury in the same game and his performance was described as “immense” by White.
