The news will come as a relief to United, who have had seven matches postponed since the turn of the year - all away from home - and have yet to play an away midweek fixture in 2016.

United know that a victory tonight will lift them into the Ryman Football League Division One South play-off places. Kick-off is scheduled for 7.45pm.

United are currently in eighth place, but are only two points behind fourth-placed Ramsgate having played between two and five games fewer than every other club in the division.

Bridges are seven positions and 11 points worse off than United having played three more matches, but were 1-0 winners in a scrappy reverse fixture at The Pilot Field on Saturday February 6.

United have won their two matches since then, the latest of which was Saturday’s 2-0 success at home to Tooting & Mitcham United. A draw or better tonight would take them past the 60-point mark for the season.

U’s forward Billy Medlock will complete a two-game suspension against a Bridges side which may well include former United players Jamie Crellin and Matt Whitehead.
