Rain does not stop Cuckfield Tennis Club’s first tournament of the season

There was a great turn out and everyone enjoyed the day, none more so than Jeremy Eustace and Trixie French seen above accepting the winners prizes.

This was the first of many with adult, junior and parent/child tournaments planned for the coming year.

All great fun, just the right mix of competitiveness, interesting line calls, teasing and sarcasm!!

A good gathering had collected a couple of weeks earlier to have the annual Spring clean, all ready to start the new season with us holding the reigns at last.

Cuckfield is now an Independent club and we start by having substantial work carried out on the courts.

We are all very excited with the new venture and owe a special thanks to various people on the Committee who have worked hard to get us here.

With the clocks going forward we will now be able to resume club evenings on Tuesdays and Fridays - 6pm start - as well as the Saturday afternoon session that carries on throughout Winter when the weather allows. Start time 2pm.

The Junior coaching is in full swing with adult groups starting again in thenear future.

New members are most welcome and this is the perfect time with 1st April bein the start of our new year. Why not join us and enjoy the tennis as well as the social events?

The BBQ and bar get very good use!
