Revelling in sunkissed rowing!

SUN AND heavy heat came with a slight sea to deliver spectacular weather for the Worthing Regatta on Saturday.

It was too hot to be ideal competing conditions and the presence of the World Cup thinned out the number of interested spectators normally to be expected in these circumstances.

But times at Worthing Rowing Club are encouraging and before the regatta proper at 1pm, one and a half hours were devoted to youth rowing with a number of races.

For Worthing, Esther Dimont and Emma Rees won the Age 16 double sculls with Emily Butcher and Becky Halford in third place. These new enthusiasts joined forces to take second place in the fours and win the quad fours (with two oars each).
