BEXHILL Rowing Club bought some cheer to a wet and windy weekend at Worthing with a wonderful haul of wins.

They claimed nine victories on Saturday and seven more on Sunday to show that they mean to continue their dominance in the Coast Amateur Rowing Association League.

Among the winners on Saturday were Kieran Cahill in the men’s senior sculls, the ladies’ novice four, Greg Anderson in the men’s novice sculls and the men’s senior four who triumphed after a dramatic tussle with Deal.

The ladies’ senior pair of Sophia Green and Claire Hosie resumed where they left off last season by comfortably taking first place.

The last three races of the day produced three more wins and a plethora of places.

It was more of the same on Sunday with Cahill and Anderson completing a weekend double in their respective races.

The men’s senior four bettered their previous day’s exploits by winning even more convincingly.
