Saxons are three points clear at the Sussex Open League Division One summit ahead of the trip to third-placed Hailsham tomorrow (Saturday) and visit from Southwick next weekend.

“It’s a bit tighter than we would like it to be, but hopefully we can put it right over the next couple of weeks,” said captain Jamie Busbridge.

“A draw on Saturday wouldn’t make too much difference, but a win would put us in a really good position.

“It’s always a very physical game against them. We will just try and play our hockey, keep our heads and hopefully that will be enough.”

Saxons should be full of confidence after playing “really well” according to Busbridge in last weekend’s 8-1 win over St Francis. Toby Reed is unavailable tomorrow.
