Sidley plunge to another defeat
SIDLEY remain rooted to the foot of the Sussex Cricket League after plunging to defeat at the hands of fellow strugglers Preston Nomads on Saturday.
Sidley declared on 212-8 thanks to decent knocks from Jonathan Haffenden (78) and Chris Deeprose (47).
Richard Pine was the most impressive bowler for Nomads with figures of 6-60.
In reply, Imran Khan (53) and 14-year-old Joe Gatting (46) steered the visitors to a winning score of 216-6. Tyrone Wildman (5-70) was the pick of the Sidley attack.
