Sidley see off local rivals
SIDLEY United cruised to another victory in the Sussex First Division, beating Eastbourne United 3-0 at Gullivers on Tuesday.
Mark Funnell opened the scoring in the 17th minute after player-manager Peter Heritage headed the ball back across the goal from a corner.
Danny Poole kept the goal safe at the other end and Paul Balch put an end to Eastbourne s hopes of getting back into the game when he outjumped a defender to head in a second.
Twenty minutes from time it was all over as Owen Ball and Peter Baker linked up well to set up Heritage for a third.
