Sidley's star's shock injury

SIDLEY and Bexhill Cricket Clubs have united to express their sympathy at the sickening injury sustained by Sidley's Ian Reynolds on Monday.

Reynolds was sitting in Sharp Style Hairdressers when an out-of-control car ploughed through the window landing on his leg. The middle order batsman was taken to the Conquest Hospital but was found to have no broken bones and was discharged later the same day.

Sidley don't expect to have him available again this season but captain Scott Woodroffe spoke to the 33-year-old on Monday evening and said he was in a stable condition and wished him a full recovery. Bexhill skipper Steve Phillimore echoed the sentiments, saying: "He is a very popular player - we wish him a speedy recovery."
