Steyning CC announce 2007 overseas player

STEYNING Cricket Club will have New Zealander Stephen Murdoch as their overseas player for the upcoming Sussex League season.

He replaces Australian Evan Miller, who helped Steyning return to the Premier Division at the first time of asking last year.

Murdoch, 23, is a top-order batsman who bowls right-arm medium pace. He played for New Zealand at the Under-19 World Cup four years ago.

Greg Barnes is Steyning's new first-team captain for 2007. He takes over from Neil Mansbridge, who will skipper the 2nd team.
