They're the scrummiest!

ONE of the oldest rugby clubs in the UK has proved it will go to any length to stay at the top of the game by producing a calendar revealing some of its best assets.

In a daring bid to raise awareness of Brighton RFC, the local lads from the 1st XV have bared almost all to produce a 2009 calendar displaying their physical attributes.

It continues the 140-year-old tradition of raising funds for the club, and they hope it will encourage new players to join the team as well.

Club board member David Thomson said: "The boys have made a very brave step in producing the calendar, all for a very worthy cause. Brighton Rugby Club is one of the top-performing amateur clubs in the country and is very much part of Brighton's heritage. With the continued support of the community we can improve training facilities and maintain the Blues' top standard."
