West Sussex bowlers have Londoners licked
The Premier team entertained London at Westergate looking for a good result to lift them up the table.
They started slowly, sharing the points in the first session, but then stepped up a gear to take all eight points in the second session to lead 12-4 at lunch.

Hide AdThey continued the improvement in the afternoon taking six points from each session and taking the bonus points in three of the four disciplines for a 30-10 and 220-148 victory.
That takes them to second place in the table, two points behind the leaders Kent.
In the singles, The Martlets’ Chris Blackman won 16-7 and 18-11. In the pairs Lavant’s Peter Whale with The Martlets’ Jim Noton lost 18-13 and won 16-10.
In the triples, Bognor’s Brenda Jones won 12-11 and 11-9 while Lavant’s John Simms won 12-6 and 14-4.

Hide AdIn the fours Lavant’s Ray Harding with The Martlets’ Malcolm Rollings won 16-2 and lost 12-5 while in the other four Bognor’s Eric Jones and Lavant’s Peter Winter won 13-1 and 10-9.
The West Sussex A team entertained East Sussex also looking for a good result to improve their league position.
They started well taking six points from the first session but could only manage two points from the second session to be drawing 8-8 at lunch.
They improved their play in the afternoon to take six points from each session and five bonus points for a final result of 25-15 which puts them top of the table.
