Wiggins leads the Burgess Hill Runners home in Phoenix 10k

Ross Wiggins was the first Burgess Hill Runner to finish a race this week as he led home a team of 7 club members at the Phoenix 10k in Brighton on Wednesday with a great time of 42:51.

Following his lead were speedy club mates Dave Oldfield (45:41), Gayle Tyler (47:21), Emma Leeson (50:44), Marie Carey (53:10), John Carey (58:09) and Claire Giles (1:00:55).

On Saturday 4 Burgess Hill Runners took part in the Dorset Invader Marathon, a hilly trail marathon in the heart of Dorset. Neil Dawson led the way and finished with a time of 5:24:36 followed by Nick Dawson (5:35:25), Philippe Ecaille (5:35:40) and Catherine Kempton (5:59:38).

John Palmer was the first BHR to complete the Great Newham London Run in the Olympic Stadium on Sunday with a fantastic time of 48:37. Not far behind were Jean and Jonathan Leak (54:14), Bryony Monnery (1:00:33), Helen Pratt (1:07:58) and Hugh Stevenage (1:14:29).
