We lead on Roaring 20s and organiser Roger Crouch’s rallying cry for people to start learning the Charleston routine so the town can reclaim the world record it lost in 2015. We also preview some of the other attractions featuring in this year’s popular event.

In other news, police say they have struck a notable blow in their battle against illicit drugs after seizing a ‘substantial haul’ estimated to be worth at least £20,000.

The paper features an interview with Game of Thrones actor Sam Coleman, who is standing as a candidate in the upcoming county council elections in May, and includes a report from St Richard’s Catholic College’s lively debate about the freedom of speech, which was attended by MPs Huw Merriman and Amber Rudd.

In people news, a veteran, who was part of the RAF’s Bomber Command during the Second World War, has been awarded a prestigious medal by the French government, and a brave nine-year-old girl had her long blonde locks chopped off to raise money for charity and make wigs for children with cancer.

In health news, we start running a series looking at the fantastic work of St Michael’s Hospice as it marks its 30th anniversary, and in politics, we speak to Trevor Webb, leader of the Labour group, as part of a run-down of all the political parties ahead of the county council elections in May.
