What is our response to this crisis? David Cameron has authorised the international development department to provide financial support to the relief agencies in the refugee camps, and has agreed that selected refugees can make their home in Britain.

Local authorities have been asked to offer to take a number of these refugees, and discussions have taken place to see what is possible.

In order to be better informed about this topic, I have arranged an evening of In Conversation to be held at St Johns Centre, Victoria Hall, Victoria Road on Tuesday, April 5, at 7pm, when the issues can be discussed in an open conversation which can identify the difficulties and the possibilities.

This is an open meeting for all concerned about the Syrian Crisis and its effects.
